• How do you handle situations where the bride disagrees with you?
• Do you get involved when the bride disagrees with a family member's idea?

Make sure you pick a planner that you get along with. Although it is their job to keep your budget in line, it is not their job to argue with you. They are not intended to be another nagging mother-in-law forcing their ideas on you.

You want your planner to be assertive but friendly. They have to keep everyone in line and keep you happy.

Be sure to completely utelize your planner. You're paying them for information and help. Get their vendor lists and ask for recommendations.

If you find your planner being overbearing or completely unhelpful, do not be afraid to speak up. Its your wedding and your money.
